At the Bob Blastow Invitational, hosted by Alexander High School, the Runnin’ Generals sent a message to competitors: this may be the strongest squad to wear the Shiloh black and white.

The boys’ squad placed in the Top 10 among a field that held past and potential State Champions, even coming out ahead of six-time State Champions Clarkston High School!  Robert Cranston and Spencer Vitense led the way with outstanding races, but the close running of Christian Valencia, Chris Salgado, Brian Urbina, and Drew Calderon made the greatest impact.  Never before has a Shiloh squad ran such a solid average time.

The girls’ squad ran several times which, last year, would have sent them to the state championships—and they were not at “full strength” due to SAT testing.  Hanan Jemel led the way, as Rubi Moreno, Tai Cossier, Brianna Christian, and Suriahyah Sule pushed toward solid finishes.

The outing also saw fine performances from every student-athlete, but the shining efforts came especially from the crew of new athletes, like Sheyenne Reyes, Tahir Eloby, Annie Tran, Milad Yousifi, and, once again, David Giulleume.

The Cross-Country team lines up next Saturday in Mount Berry at the Berry College Clara Bowl Invitational.  Good luck all!
