In an effort to educate our parents and athletes about athletic scholarships and the college recruiting process, I have contracted Dynamite Sports to conduct an hour long seminar entitled “Guiding the College-Bound Athlete” on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., in the Shiloh H.S. Theater.
In addition to our families at the high school, I would also like to invite the families from our middle school(s). I am asking for your help in promoting this very informative and entertaining event to your parents and athletes. We know that many middle school students play sports, and some have a high level of talent. It is not too early to prepare for playing college sports, so learning what it takes to be a college athlete mentally, physically, and especially ACADEMICALLY, before they get to high school, will be a tremendous help! This seminar will help our parents to be more knowledgeable and REALISTIC about athletic scholarships and the recruiting process. It will also teach them how to find the right college and where to look for financial aid/scholarships.
Please try to schedule any events or meetings around this date so your athletes and parents can attend. Remember, it’s only one evening, and we as administrators want to give our athletes every possible opportunity for enjoying athletics beyond high school.
Thank you in advance for your help and support in making this a well attended event.
