|Thank you to all of the swimmers and volunteers that made this year’s Gwinnett Championship one to remember! Not even the weather could stop our swimmers from their destiny this past weekend. We had almost 100% improvement in times from Prelims to Finals and some personal best times were achieved as well.
The Boys A & B Relay teams showed up to kick bubbles and take names. The A relay team shaved off an impressive 4.5 seconds between prelims and finals on their Medley Relay and took 13th place. But, the best was yet to come… in the 200 Yard Free Relay where they placed 10th and got on the podium! In addition, they were a mere 1.13 seconds away from a state cut, each swimmer dropped time in the final and Ethan McKinsey busted out a 22.79 second 50 Free, a personal best.
The Girls were also primed, placing 15th in the Medley relay with a 2.8 second improvement from Prelims to Finals. They also finished 16th in the 200 Yard Free Relay and the 400 Yard Free Relay. We’re excited for the showing that they gave and are expecting a lot from our girls relay teams next year as most of the swimmers will be back!
Several Shiloh Swimmers also participated in individual events and represented Shiloh well.
Congratulations to all our county swimmers and good luck to those moving on to state! Full results are attached.
